Texcel’s expertise is in understanding the behaviour and loading of industrial, mining and civil structures.

Texcel has applied this expertise to a wide range of structural issues, from working with owners to quantify the in-service performance of 30 year old precipitator tanks, to working with a consultant’s design team to determine the appropriate fatigue criteria for conveyor upgrades.

Clients such as Bechtel Australia, Worley Parsons, Rio Tinto, Queensland Alumina Limited, and the Port of Brisbane Corporation have used Texcel’s forensic and investigative expertise to assist in the management of their structural issues.

APPROACH

Challenging structural issues can occur during both a structure’s design phase and throughout its life. The successful resolution of these issues is not always possible through the application of conventional engineering services alone.

Texcel utilises first principles and a strong scientific basis to address these issues. Tools include on-site inspections, code and literature reviews, dynamic analyses, fatigue analyses, behavioural testing, and finite element modelling.
